Focusing on strength over speed

I’ve always been a slow runner. I’ve recently discovered the benefits of focusing on strength and endurance. I didn’t consciously associate it with benefits for running, but I am seeing a relationship. Today I read this article and there might be something to it. I hope it’s useful for others.
